Fast 400m Times Highlight First Day At Tiger Paw Invitational



Fast was the word of the day as some outstanding 400m times were posted on the first day of the Tiger Paw Invitational in Clemson, SC.


University of Houston's Obi Igbokwe won the 400 meters in a world leading time of 45.35. Texas A&M Aggie junior Devin Dixon finished second in 45.68. Dixon's time currently ranks as the third fastest in the world this year. Dixon also broke the American collegiate record in the 800m earlier this season with a time of 1:45.27 at The Texas Tech Classic.


South Carolina's Qunicy Hall finished third overall, running 45.72 and Houston's Kahmari Montgomery finished fourth in 45.74.



In the womens 400m race, Penn State's Alexis Holmes won in 52.58 followed by a pair of South Carolina runners. Wadeline Jonathas ran 52.86 for second and Aliyah Abrams was third in 52.91.
