Tori Ray Sets New 400m Record At Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational

Tori Ray, a junior at North Carolina A&T, ran 54.58 to set the 400m meet record at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational held Saturday at the Liberty Indoor Track Complex at Liberty University.

Ray's time on Saturday was the fastest of her indoor career. Ray won the indoor Mid-Eastern Atletic Conference(MEAC) title last year running 54.99. Her performance could have her ranked No. 1 in the MEAC this week.

Ray's teammate Sun-Sara Williams also dipped below 55 seconds running 54.77, her best indoor 400m time.

Ray and Williams teamed up with Nilaja Florence and Payton Russell to win the women's 4x400m relay in a meet record time of 3:43.01
